Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra Accepts Constitutional Court Order to Suspend Duties.
Brickinfo News Agency – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra stated on Tuesday, July 1, 2068, that her actions have consistently been for the nation, emphasizing her dedication to protecting Thailand’s sovereignty. Her remarks came during a press conference at the Government House, following the Constitutional Court’s decision to suspend her from duty as of July 1, 2068, pending a final ruling. The Prime Minister indicated her intention to clarify her actions and demonstrate her consistent efforts to uphold the country’s image and serve the nation effectively.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the Constitutional Court’s decision and affirmed that while she will cease official duties, her commitment to Thailand as a citizen will continue. She anticipates approximately 15 days to present her case to the court. During this period, she plans to fully explain the leaked audio clip, asserting that her intentions were entirely focused on the nation’s welfare, safeguarding Thailand’s sovereignty, and preserving the lives of Thai soldiers for the sake of peace in Thailand. She expressed confidence in her actions, despite acknowledging that some methods might not have been universally popular, and reiterated her sincerity in working for the country.
Prime Minister Paetongtarn also stressed that she had no self-serving motives or intentions of personal gain. Her primary goal, she said, was to maintain peace and prevent conflict involving military personnel. She urged a detailed review of the audio, confident it would reveal no malicious intent. The Prime Minister also extended her gratitude for the support received and apologized to the Thai people for any distress caused by the situation.
“I confirm that I am dedicated to working for the nation,” she stated. “Even if I cease official duties, I will continue to work for the country as a Thai citizen, ready to serve in any capacity. I will continue to dedicate every minute to Thailand.”
