Schneider Electric Reports First-Half 2026 Sustainability Results Under Impact 2030 Roadmap

Brickinfo News Agency – Schneider Electric has released its sustainability performance report for the first half of 2026, marking six months since the implementation of its Impact 2030 roadmap. The company recorded a mid-year Sustainability Impact score of 3.69 out of 10, progressing toward its full-year 2026 target of 4.20.

Under its decarbonization strategy, the group reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon dioxide emissions by 82% compared to a 2017 baseline, alongside a 12% decrease in Scope 3 emissions compared to 2021 levels. For customers, Schneider Electric's solutions facilitated the saving or electrification of 129.5 million MWh and avoided more than 50 million tonnes of carbon emissions in the first half of the year, bringing cumulative customer emissions avoided to 913 million tonnes since 2018.

Supply chain initiatives under the Zero Carbon Pathway expanded to engage 1,500 suppliers, requiring emissions quantification across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, along with product carbon footprint assessments. During the second quarter, 15 suppliers qualified under these updated criteria following over 200 technical sessions. Furthermore, 27% of major product offers in the design phase met environmental and circular criteria under the Future-designed framework, and 5 operational facilities qualified under the Impact Workplaces standard.

In social impact metrics, the company extended sustainable electricity access to more than 2.2 million people during the second quarter, bringing the cumulative total since 2009 to 67 million people, primarily across Africa and India. The group has also trained 1.37 million young individuals in electrification and sustainability skills over the same timeframe. Additionally, 16% of senior employees participated in structured career development and knowledge transfer programs.

External benchmarks during the second quarter included the addition of manufacturing facilities in El Paso, United States, and Beijing, China, to the World Economic Forum Global Lighthouse Network, bringing the company's total to 11 Lighthouse sites. The group also announced the Schneider Electric Energy Access Asia Fund II to support clean-energy enterprises across South and Southeast Asia.
