Jobsdb by SEEK Survey Reveals 58% of Thai Companies Prioritize DEI Practices
Brickinfo News Agency – A new report from Jobsdb by SEEK, a leading online job platform in Thailand, indicates that 58% of Thai organizations are actively implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the workplace. The findings, detailed in the “Hiring, Compensation & Benefits Report 2025,” show a growing commitment among companies to create more inclusive work environments and support all employees. An additional 25% of organizations are planning to adopt DEI practices within the next year, suggesting a strong trend towards making DEI a core component of corporate development in the country.
The report highlights that DEI is a significant focus for organizations this year, with many updating their human resources policies to be more modern and supportive of diversity across race, gender, age, and ability. The goal is to ensure all employees feel valued and respected equally. Common DEI practices being implemented include policies to prevent discrimination and harassment, the establishment of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and regular diversity surveys and assessments.
A key area of focus is fair hiring practices. Many Thai companies are adopting measures to make their recruitment processes more transparent and free from bias. One notable practice is the use of blind resume screening, which is employed by 42% of organizations to reduce the influence of personal information that could lead to discrimination. Furthermore, 38% of companies have established clear DEI goals for their recruitment efforts, and 29% regularly audit their hiring processes to check for unconscious bias.
In addition to recruitment, many companies are also focusing on creating inclusive job descriptions. The report shows that 65% of organizations regularly review and update job descriptions to ensure they are free from bias. Furthermore, 46% use standardized templates for all job postings, and 22% provide training to employees who write job descriptions to help them identify and avoid unconscious biases. These efforts aim to make job opportunities genuinely open to all applicants.
Duanporn Prom-on, Managing Director of Jobsdb by SEEK Thailand, stated that “Diversity and fair employment should not be viewed as just a trend or a task for the human resources department alone, but should be a key element embedded in the company culture and in decision-making at every level.” She added that Jobsdb by SEEK is a trusted partner for organizations in building a future where every voice is valued and every person is accepted equally.
