Expanded Rivendell LEGO® Display Unveiled Ahead of “The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale” Premiere in Singapore
Brickinfo News Agency – The LEGO Group has launched a public display of an expanded LEGO Lord of the Rings: Rivendell set in Singapore, coinciding with the upcoming Asia Premiere of “The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale.” The installation, located at Sands Theatre, will be open for viewing throughout the musical’s run from August 12 to 31, 2025.

The exhibition is a collaborative effort involving Base Entertainment Asia, Kevin Wallace Productions, GWB Entertainment, Middle-earth Enterprises, Tim McFarlane, KHAM Inc., People Entertainment Group, The Watermill Theatre, and Chicago Shakespeare Theater. This partnership aims to connect the theatrical production with the LEGO building experience.
A key feature of the display is “Rivendell Reforged,” an expanded version of The LEGO Group’s 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell set. This model, designed as a rotating music box, includes a musical piece from “The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale.” Accompanying the Rivendell display are two additional LEGO sets: the 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire set and the 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr set.

“The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale,” based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s book trilogy, features original music by A.R. Rahman, Finnish folk band Värttinä, and Christopher Nightingale. The musical is produced by Kevin Wallace Productions and Middle-earth Enterprises, with book and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus. This adaptation of Tolkien’s work focuses on the story through the perspective of the Hobbits, beginning with Bilbo Baggins’ birthday and Frodo’s subsequent quest to Mordor.

The musical aims to highlight themes such as community, courage, and kindness, which are presented as aligning with the LEGO brand’s focus on creativity and collaboration. The LEGO displays are intended to complement the musical by offering a tangible representation of key locations from Tolkien’s Middle-earth.
