Amity AI Labs Achieves Top Global Ranking for Multi-Step Data Analysis with Agentic AI
Brickinfo News Agency – Amity AI Labs, the AI research and development arm of Amity Group, has secured the #1 global ranking on the Data Agent Benchmark for Multi-step Reasoning (DABStep) Leaderboard. This benchmark, hosted by Hugging Face and developed by Adyen, assesses AI agents’ capabilities in performing complex, real-world data analysis tasks, including reading business documents, interpreting datasets, generating code, and providing actionable insights. The technology underpinning this achievement has been integrated into EkoAI, Amity Group’s enterprise platform for Agentic AI, specifically within its Data Analyst Agent.

The company’s recent white paper, “Agentic AI for Multi-Step Data Analysis,” details the innovation behind this success. As of July 11, 2025, Amity’s system demonstrated 80.56% accuracy on easy tasks and achieved the highest recorded score of 41.01% accuracy on hard tasks within the DABStep benchmark. These results position Amity Group ahead of other AI research labs in applying Agentic AI to enterprise decision-making.
Wachiravit Modecrua, Director of AI Labs at Amity Group, stated, “We built this system not to chase the leaderboard, but to solve real-world business data analytical problems. Most AI models struggle with nuance and logic when the task has many steps. Our architecture thinks through problems methodically, just like a human data analyst, and shows its work at every stage.”
The Amity Group system employs a three-agent architecture to manage complex analytical processes. The Planner acts as the strategist, breaking down queries and creating solution blueprints. The Executor implements multi-step reasoning through continuous thought-action loops. The Feedbacker provides automated validation and performance scoring. This structured approach aims to enhance reasoning, transparency, debugging, and compliance, with Row-Level Security (RLS) ensuring data access is limited to relevant personnel.

“This is not just an R&D success,” said Touchapon Kraisingkorn, Group CTO and Head of AI Labs at Amity Group. “It is a real product now. Our Data Analyst Agent is deployed on EkoAI and helps organizations answer complex questions that used to take days. We are putting cutting-edge research directly into people’s hands.”
The Data Analyst Agent is now available within EkoAI, offering features such as Natural Language Querying (NLQ), real-time dashboards, voice interactions, a feedback loop, collaboration tools integrated with Microsoft Teams and Eko Chat, and a mobile-first design. EkoAI also includes other specialized agents like Research Analyst, Document Analyst, Secretary, and Creative Agents. The DABStep benchmark tasks require agents to analyze financial data, detect fraud trends, and recommend compliance measures, all based on business logic. Amity AI Labs has released the full reasoning trace of its model, promoting transparency in enterprise AI.
A large Thai retailer has already implemented EkoAI’s Data Analyst Agent across over 3,000 stores. The system handles more than 1,000 daily messages with response times ranging from 5 seconds to 1 minute, enabling store managers to make data-driven decisions in both Thai and English. An AI-generated To-Do List (TDL) feature provides daily briefings for each store, highlighting anomalies and high-priority actions. This deployment illustrates the practical application and business value of Amity’s advanced AI research at scale.
