Brickinfo News AgencyYellowcard, the established alternative rock band, launched their new single and accompanying music video for “Take What You Want” on July 9, 2025. The video features footage from the band’s recent tours in Japan, Australia, and Europe. “Take What You Want” is the third single from their upcoming studio album, “Better Days,” scheduled for global release on October 10, 2025, through Better Noise Music. The initial two singles, “Better Days” and “honestly i,” released on May 28, have collectively garnered over 4 million streams.

The forthcoming album, “Better Days,” was produced and executive produced by Travis Barker, who also performed drums on all tracks. The title track, “Better Days,” is currently charting at number 13 on the Mediabase Alternative chart. Ryan Key, Yellowcard’s lead singer, commented on the new track, stating, “The new track ‘Take What You Want’ really captures the amazing energy of these sessions with Travis Barker producing. The drums immediately pull you in, and the melodies are so focused and memorable.”

Yellowcard, known for their blending of pop-punk with violin, achieved prominence in the 2000s, with their 2003 album Ocean Avenue reaching Platinum certification and its title track achieving 2x Platinum status. The band, which formed in Jacksonville, FL, in 1997, has sold over 4 million albums worldwide and accumulated over 1 billion streams. After a hiatus in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022, embarking on a new creative phase.

The decision to create a new album was approached with the goal of producing their best work to date. The band opted against rushing the creative process and sought external collaboration for the first time. Guitarist Ryan Mendez invited longtime friend Nick Long to join the writing sessions, which eventually led to Travis Barker’s involvement as both drummer and producer for the entire album.

Ryan Key reflected on the process, noting, “I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed. I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.” In June, Yellowcard announced the “Maximum Fun Tour,” a co-headline tour with A Day To Remember, running from September 5 to November 22, and including appearances at the Warped Tour and When We Were Young Festival.
