TikTok Partners with Thai Ministries to Launch Family Digital Safety Playbook Under TeensAware Campaign
Brickinfo News Agency – TikTok has collaborated with Thai government agencies and civil society organizations to introduce the Family Digital Safety Playbook (Thai Edition) under its #TeensAware campaign, aiming to promote online security and digital literacy among youth and families nationwide.
The initiative was established in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), the Internet Foundation for Development of Thailand (INET), and the Thailand Safe Internet Coalition (TSIC). The educational resource will be distributed across schools, parent groups, local communities, and youth welfare organizations throughout Thailand.
According to Chanida Klyphun, Director of Public Policy and Government Relations for Southeast Asia at TikTok, digital safety demands collaborative measures across technology platforms, state regulators, civil society, and domestic households. Following the earlier #ThaisAware initiative, the #TeensAware campaign focuses on developing digital literacy and parental communication regarding safe internet practices.

Available in both physical print and digital interactive formats via the TikTok application, the guide provides practical advice on addressing digital threats such as artificial intelligence deepfake scams, disinformation, money mule operations, and e-commerce fraud. The publication also outlines control mechanisms such as Family Pairing, which enables guardians to manage daily screen time parameters, activate restricted browsing modes, and regulate direct messaging access for teen users. For accounts registered to minors aged 13 to 17, the platform maintains automatic safety defaults, including 60-minute daily limits, private account statuses, and filtered content algorithms.
During the launch, TikTok presented data from its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the first quarter of 2026, disclosing that more than 3.29 million non-compliant videos were removed in Thailand, with a 99.2% proactive detection rate prior to user reporting. In addition, the platform continues implementing content labeling systems, including C2PA Content Credentials and digital watermarking, having tagged over 3 billion AI-generated videos globally to support media transparency.
Dr. Srida Tanta-atipanit, Managing Director of INET, stated that safeguarding minors online is a collective responsibility requiring a shift from reactive moderation to preventive media literacy. INET plans to integrate the playbook into community workshops and nationwide school curriculums in coordination with state child protection networks.
