Brickinfo News Agency – AIS PLAY has officially secured the broadcasting rights for the 20th Asian Games and the 5th Asian Para Games, both scheduled to take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, in 2026. Under this agreement, the platform will serve as the Official Broadcaster across over-the-top (OTT) online and IPTV platforms in Thailand. The coverage will feature live broadcasts, highlights, and reruns in Full HD with Thai commentary, allowing sports fans to stream the events across multiple devices.

The initiative is a continuation of the ongoing partnership between Advanced Info Service (AIS) and the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) to bring major international sporting events to Thai viewers. The broadcasting arrangement aims to provide widespread access to the competitions, ensuring comprehensive coverage of Thai athletes competing on the continental stage.

Rungtip Jarusiripipat, Head of Entertainment Department at AIS, emphasized the significance of the partnership and the technical readiness of the platform. “We have continuously collaborated with the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) to connecting Thai people with major sporting events featuring Thai athletes. This is another significant milestone for AIS PLAY in securing the broadcast rights for the Asian Games and Asian Para Games. We consider it an elevation of the sports viewing experience for Thais to an international level. We remain committed to ensuring that Thais can watch and cheer for our national athletes conveniently and comprehensively. The broadcasts will be of high quality, supported by our No.1 Digital Infrastructure, offering stability and crisp Full HD resolution. Broadcasting this pan-Asian sporting event not only reflects the trust placed in us by global partners but also reinforces AIS PLAY’s role as a comprehensive sports content platform and the ultimate destination for sports fans. AIS will continue to support the Thai sports industry, both domestically and internationally, to send our collective cheers to Thai athletes on every stage,” Jarusiripipat said.

Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, highlighted the impact of the broadcast on both the athletes and the public. “I would like to thank AIS for consistently prioritizing and supporting the Thai sports industry. Through our past collaborations, AIS has proven its professionalism in delivering high-quality broadcasts, which plays a highly significant role in building awareness and popularity within the Thai sports scene. In these upcoming competitions, our Thai athletes have an 80-90 percent chance of winning medals. To allow Thai sports fans to cheer closely, we are certain that AIS will provide us with the most comprehensive broadcasting channels. This will not only boost the morale of our athletes but also open opportunities for the youth to access and watch their favorite sports, thereby creating further inspiration,” Yodmani stated.
