The Bentley EXP 15 design vision, a new concept car, made its public debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance during Monterey Car Week, showcasing the future of Bentley design.

Brickinfo News Agency – Bentley Motors’ latest design concept, the EXP 15, made its first public appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance during Monterey Car Week. The full-size concept car, which is not intended for production, serves as a representation of the future design direction for the brand’s upcoming models, including its first all-electric vehicle. The EXP 15 is the first Bentley concept to be shown at Monterey Car Week since the EXP 100 GT was introduced to mark Bentley’s centenary in 2019.

The EXP 15 is a three-door, three-seat grand tourer that draws on the design of the 1930 Bentley Speed Six Gurney Nutting ‘Blue Train’ Sportsman coupé. This homage includes a similar cabin-rearward stance, an upright grille, and a long bonnet. The interior features seating for three, with space for personal items or pets. The concept car highlights new materials, lighting, and exterior finishes that Bentley is exploring.

Bentley has defined five exterior design principles that the EXP 15 embodies and which will be featured in future production models. These include Upright Elegance for the front fender, an Iconic Grille reimagined for electric vehicles, an Endless Bonnet Line that honors the marque’s past, a Resting Beast visual language that conveys a lean and muscular aesthetic, and a Prestigious Shield rear panel that frames the redesigned Winged B emblem.

Robin Page, Bentley’s Director of Design, noted the significance of the venue for the concept’s debut. “The visitors at Monterey Car Week include some of the most discerning collectors, enthusiasts and aficionados in the world, many of whom already own Bentleys,” Page said. “EXP 15 is a strong statement of intent, and it was outstanding to see the concept resplendent in the California sunshine. Feedback received from the audience at Pebble Beach will be used to inform the brand’s design evolution, as we continue the journey to design and develop the next generation of electrified Bentley grand tourers.”

Following its public unveiling, the EXP 15 was photographed along the 17 Mile Drive, a route known for its association with Monterey Car Week. The concept car was also photographed alongside the original 1930 Speed Six Gurney Nutting ‘Blue Train’ special, which was also brought to the event. The EXP 15 has now been returned to Bentley’s Design Studio in Crewe, where it will continue to influence the company’s future design direction.
