True Corporation Advocates for Data Privacy and Responsible AI to Build Digital Trust
Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation Plc. has highlighted the integration of data privacy and responsible artificial intelligence (AI) frameworks as critical components for corporate governance and sustainable business practices. Speaking at AI Governance Week 2026 during a panel organized by the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), True Corporation emphasized that the value of digital technology must rely heavily on security, fairness, human rights, and transparency rather than operational intelligence alone.
The company stated that responsible AI adoption goes beyond meeting statutory requirements, serving instead as a foundational element for design, data processing, and socio-economic impact mitigation. To establish reliable large language models (LLMs) and automated tools, evaluation processes must expand beyond basic algorithmic accuracy. Testing protocols should explicitly cover data quality, bias minimization, explainability, systemic security, and robust fallback mechanisms to handle unexpected technical anomalies effectively.
Furthermore, True Corporation emphasized the importance of assessing global technologies against local variables, including the Thai language, domestic regulations, culture, and practical regional use cases. The adaptation ensures that automated systems do not lead to discrimination or privacy violations while maintaining human accountability. In line with this approach, the company has integrated automated monitoring tools capable of identifying over 7.5 million suspicious links daily to provide baseline network-level protection for its user base of more than 50 million customers.
The technology firm also introduced the concept of "AI Sovereignty" for Thailand, which focuses on developing national capabilities to evaluate, select, and govern digital infrastructure in alignment with local interests. According to the company, this initiative does not restrict global innovations but promotes technical literacy, joint sandboxes, and regulatory frameworks among public sectors, businesses, and academic entities. This collaborative network aims to reduce foreign technology dependencies and safely guide long-term digital transitions.
