Thai Industrial Giant SCG and Fintech Leader SCBX Forge Strategic AI and Intellectual Property Alliance to Drive National Competitiveness

Brickinfo News Agency – The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCG) and SCB X Public Company Limited (SCBX) have officially entered into a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Intellectual Property (IP) management into their core operations. This collaboration marks a significant convergence between Thailand’s industrial and financial technology sectors, aiming to transform advanced research into scalable enterprise solutions that enhance productivity and long-term economic growth.

The partnership focuses on combining SCBX’s capabilities in Machine Learning and Quantum Technology with SCG’s extensive manufacturing scale and established IP management frameworks. The two organizations have outlined four strategic pillars: strengthening IP management, leveraging AI for operational efficiency, conducting joint research on Generative and Agentic AI, and developing a robust local AI ecosystem. This initiative is designed to move beyond theoretical research into practical, real-world applications within the Thai industrial landscape.

Under the agreement, SCG will share its ASEAN-recognized IP strategy frameworks to help SCBX systematically protect software and AI-related innovations. Simultaneously, SCBX will deploy Quantum Computing and AI models to address specific challenges in SCG’s manufacturing processes. The collaboration also includes a commitment to Proof of Concept (PoC) projects to ensure technological feasibility before full-scale commercial deployment.

By exchanging insights on technology trends and AI foresight, both companies aim to reinforce Thailand’s leadership in enterprise technology adoption. The partnership is expected to deliver measurable outcomes in cost optimization and sustainable value creation, ultimately strengthening the position of Thai enterprises in the global technology landscape.
