True CyberSafe Wins National Innovation Award for Social and Environmental Impact
Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation’s intelligent cyber-threat protection system, True CyberSafe, has secured the prestigious 2025 National Innovation Award in the Social and Environmental category, Large and Medium Enterprise segment. The award, presented on October 2, 2025, recognizes the innovation’s clear and lasting value in developing a safe, trusted, and reliable digital society for Thai citizens. True CyberSafe, a free service for over 60 million True customers, utilizes AI technology to combat the growing complexity of online threats by actively blocking malicious links and screening scam calls in real-time.
The award was presented to True Corporation representatives, Mr. Sharad Mehrotra, Chief Consumer Business Officer, and Dr. Naetchanok Wipatasinlapin, Head of Sustainability Division, by Dr. Chutima Aimchotchawalit, Chairman of the National Innovation Board of Thailand, during the 2025 National Innovation Day in Bangkok. The event, organized by the National Innovation Agency (NIA), also saw congratulations extended by Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Chairman of the Thai Rice Foundation under the Royal Patronage, and Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director of the NIA.
Mr. Sharad Mehrotra emphasized the company’s commitment to technology and customer protection, stating, “The National Innovation Award that True CyberSafe has received this year is… a reflection of our unwavering commitment to being an innovation-driven organization. We are determined to leverage our robust digital infrastructure and comprehensive ecosystem to raise the standards of online safety.” He noted that the AI-driven system has already protected customers from more than 2.2 billion attempts to click on fraudulent links and answer dangerous phone calls.
The system’s core features are designed to provide essential security across True’s mobile and home internet networks without requiring registration or an application download. Real-time malicious link blocking immediately stops access to blacklisted links from Thailand’s Cyber Police and government agencies. For suspicious but unlisted links, the system issues a 60-second warning (“Caution: This may be a dangerous website”). The platform currently tracks over 455,000 suspicious links, with an average of eight million fraudulent link clicks blocked daily between December 3, 2024, and September 30, 2025. Additionally, the Call AI Filter uses data from over 300,000 suspicious numbers provided by the Cyber Police to instantly alert users to potential scam calls. An SMS AI Filter feature is also slated for future release.
Dr. Naetchanok Wipatasinlapin highlighted the innovation’s tie to corporate social responsibility. “True CyberSafe is a clear example of how we integrate technology with social responsibility,” she said. She added that True aims to cultivate an additional 500 innovators, generate no less than 15% of its revenue from innovation, and register up to 200 intellectual property assets by 2030, building upon its current base of over 1,040 innovators and more than 116 registered patents and petty patents. In addition to the automatic protections, the company maintains the 9777 Scam Report service, which allows the public to report scam calls and receive investigation results within 24 hours.
