Brickinfo News Agency – The Royal Thai Army’s 2nd Army Area Command has reported that Cambodian soldiers fired small arms across the border into Thai territory. The incident, which occurred in the afternoon of September 23, involved 3 to 5 shots fired at a Thai self-defense barbed wire fence. No retaliatory action was taken by Thai forces, who are now closely monitoring the situation.

The report from the 2nd Army Area Command was received by the Royal Thai Army at approximately 1:20 p.m. today. The incident took place in Saothongchai subdistrict, Kantharalak district, Sisaket province. It is believed that the gunfire was an attempt to test the reaction of the Thai military.

Thai forces refrained from firing back and continue to maintain a close watch on the situation, with no further incidents reported at this time.
