Bentley Unveils EXP 15 Design Concept, Hinting at Future Electric Models
Brickinfo News Agency – Bentley Motors has officially opened its new design studio in Crewe, coinciding with the reveal of its latest luxury vision concept, the EXP 15. This full-size exterior model and virtual reality interior explore the future of Bentley design, drawing inspiration from the brand’s heritage to inform its upcoming all-electric production car, slated for a 2026 debut.

The EXP 15 takes cues from the 1930 three-seater Bentley Speed Six, famously known as the “Blue Train” car. This elevated sporting sedan concept incorporates a modern interpretation of Bentley’s classic upright grille with new light technology, a long ‘endless’ bonnet, and a cabin positioned towards the rear with prominent rear haunches. While the EXP 15 itself will not enter production, it serves as a design preview for future Bentley vehicles, including the first electric model.

The interior, experienced through virtual reality, presents an innovative and flexible three-seater layout with three doors. This configuration aims to provide enhanced passenger relaxation and accessible storage for luggage or even pets. The boot space is designed with a dual function, allowing it to convert into tailgate seating for outdoor use when stationary. The cabin blends physical switches with digital interfaces, which can adapt to driver preferences and needs.

Bentley has collaborated with traditional British material suppliers for the EXP 15. For example, Fox Brothers, a British weaver with over 250 years of history and known for thorn-proof cloth, contributed a 100% wool textile with a damson ombre effect for the interior. This is presented alongside lightweight 3D-printed titanium finishes. Additionally, Gainsborough, a British company founded in 1903 and a fabric supplier to the Queen since 1980, has provided a fine silk jacquard textile intended to promote well-being within the cabin. The concept also introduces a new Winged B emblem, designed to reflect the spirit of the original 1919 insignia, and reimagines Bentley’s iconic diamond quilt pattern for both interior and exterior applications. The EXP 15 is envisioned with an all-electric, all-wheel-drive powertrain, highlighting Bentley’s commitment to luxurious and sustainable grand touring.
