Bentley Unveils All-New Torcal Luxury Electric SUV in London
Brickinfo News Agency – Bentley Motors has officially debuted the Bentley Torcal in London, marking the introduction of the brand’s fourth model line and its first fully electric production vehicle. Designed, engineered, and manufactured at the company’s headquarters in Crewe, United Kingdom, the luxury SUV is offered in both standard and sportier Torcal S variants.

The powertrain features two permanent magnet synchronous motors and an 800-volt electrical architecture paired with a 113 kWh net capacity lithium-ion battery. The core model delivers 821 PS and 1,194 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds (0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds) with a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The Torcal S increases output to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm of torque with Launch Control engaged, completing 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds (0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds) and reaching a top speed of 162 mph (260 km/h).

The vehicle provides an estimated driving range of up to 375 miles (600 km WLTP). Supporting direct-current fast charging at rates up to 400 kW, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in under 20 minutes, adding approximately 100 miles (161 km) of range in seven minutes. The battery pack is covered by a 10-year or 160,000-mile warranty.

Chassis hardware includes fully active suspension with adaptive two-valve dampers, eliminating traditional anti-roll bars, as well as standard electronic all-wheel steering that yields an 11.1-metre turning circle. Braking is handled by standard cast-iron discs or an optional Carbon Silicon Carbide (CSiC) ceramic braking setup featuring 440 mm front discs.

Measuring five metres in overall length, the vehicle offers 460 litres of rear cargo capacity alongside a 90-litre front trunk. The cabin features curved OLED displays, an augmented reality head-up display, facial recognition driver profiling, switchable Frosted Diamond glass sunroof panels, and power-assisted doors monitored by 25 exterior radar, sensor, and camera units. Interior material options include Responsible Wool Standard-certified Merino wool upholstery developed with Fox Brothers, responsibly sourced Ombré Walnut veneers, and olive-tanned leather.

Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, stated during the unveiling that the Torcal is built to unite British manufacturing heritage with modern engineering, serving as a template for future models from the marque.
