True Corporation Deploys Emergency Network Support and Free WiFi Across Flood-Affected Areas in Nan and Tak

Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has deployed emergency mobile network units and installed free WiFi at evacuation shelters and medical facilities in Nan Province following severe flash floods, while extending network surveillance to five border districts in Tak Province due to rising river levels.

Engineering crews and technical personnel were mobilized to Pua District, where heavy seasonal rainfall caused widespread flooding across residential zones and key transportation routes. The company deployed Cells on Wheels (COWs), backup generators, and spare transmission parts across the northern region to maintain mobile and broadband service continuity in impacted zones.

Thongchai Kwanphut, Head of Network Rollout and Field Operation at True Corporation Public Company Limited, conducted field inspections at critical cell sites serving local hospitals and emergency centers. The technical team coordinated directly with administrative staff at Pua Crown Prince Hospital to evaluate operational communication requirements and reinforce cellular coverage for medical operations.

In addition to infrastructure management, operational units coordinated with the Pua Subdistrict Municipality to establish public service stations, distribute drinking water, and set up wireless internet access points for displaced residents and emergency responders.

Monitoring operations have also been heightened across Mae Sot Municipality and adjacent border districts along the Moei River in Tak Province, where ongoing water level surges continue to pose flood risks to regional telecommunication infrastructure.
