Thanyarak Foundation and TruePlookpanya Launch Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Marking World Breast Cancer Day
Brickinfo News Agency – The Thanyarak Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra has partnered with True Corporation through TruePlookpanya to promote the “Breasts Must Be Checked” campaign on World Breast Cancer Day, October 7, 2026, advocating early detection and regular screening among women.
According to health statistics, breast cancer remains the most diagnosed cancer among women globally and in Thailand, where approximately 21,061 new cases are recorded annually, representing 23.5% of all new female cancer cases. Clinical data from Siriraj Hospital indicates that patients diagnosed at Stage 1 achieve a 10-year survival rate of up to 95%, demonstrating the critical role of timely medical intervention. While most prevalent in women, breast cancer can occur across different age demographics, including younger individuals and men.

The campaign video features Suchata Chuangsri, Miss World 2025, promoting breast self-examination (BSE) and professional clinical screenings tailored to individual age and risk levels.
Bussadee Chearavanont, Committee Member and Secretary of the Thanyarak Foundation, stated that the organization has focused on breast cancer prevention and public education for more than three decades. She noted that early identification of abnormalities significantly improves treatment outcomes, and the ongoing five-year collaboration with True Corporation has extended public health messaging from individuals to broader communities.
TruePlookpanya is expanding the initiative through the Thanyarak Club across 38 Rajabhat Universities nationwide, training faculty and students as community health advocates. In addition, digital educational resources on self-examination techniques have been integrated into the EDU World platform.

The initiative also includes commercial fundraising support from PAUL Thailand under the “Pink October” campaign from October 10 to 31, 2026. Under the promotion, THB 30 from each purchase of designated macaron products will be donated to the Thanyarak Foundation to fund diagnostic medical equipment, such as digital mammography and ultrasound devices. Public donations for diagnostic equipment procurement are also accepted through the Thanyarak Breast Center at Siriraj Hospital.
