Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has emphasized the critical role of Responsible AI and AI Sovereignty in driving sustainable economic growth while mitigating operational and societal risks across Thailand’s digital infrastructure. Speaking at the “AI to Drive the Economic Growth” panel discussion at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Montri Stapornkul, Head of Data Privacy Division at True Corporation, highlighted that organizations must establish clear operational purposes before deploying artificial intelligence tools rather than treating the technology as an arbitrary starting point.

The telecom operator outlined an end-to-end governance framework encompassing the entire input, processing, and output cycle of AI deployment. According to the company, data ingested into machine learning systems remains strictly subject to data privacy regulations and compliance mandates. To establish an effective deployment model across various business sectors, organizations must integrate three foundational pillars: data privacy, cybersecurity standards, and continuous AI governance that incorporates human oversight and model monitoring.

Addressing economic scalability, the framework advocates for risk-proportionate controls rather than blanket regulatory requirements. In customer-facing deployments such as chatbots, voice automation, and digital platforms, transparency remains essential, requiring organizations to disclose AI involvement and maintain human intervention protocols for complex or high-risk outcomes.

The enterprise also warned against treating ethical deployment as a pre-launch formality, noting that evolving datasets and user behaviors can introduce algorithmic bias and model drift over time. Consequently, institutional accountability must remain with human operators through continuous system evaluations, performance reviews, and technical oversight to ensure long-term reliability.

In parallel with governance, the discussion addressed national readiness and AI sovereignty as critical infrastructure increasingly relies on foreign platforms and external compute resources. To safeguard data continuity and maintain technological autonomy, Thailand must develop local workforce capabilities, adaptive ecosystems, and regulatory standards that enable organizations to customize, scale, and manage technologies responsibly.
