Brickinfo News Agency – True 5G has announced a strategic partnership with Mahar, Myanmar’s leading entertainment platform, to offer exclusive Burmese-language digital content to the more than 4 million Myanmar nationals living and working in Thailand. This collaboration marks the first time Mahar’s premium library of films and series will be available exclusively through a Thai telecommunications network, aiming to provide cultural connection and entertainment for the migrant community via high-speed mobile connectivity.

The partnership was formalized by executives from True Corporation Plc, including Mr. Phurichote Wongkomonchet, Head of Digital Services, and Ms. Rasika Sathiranawin, Head of Marketing for Migrants, alongside Mr. Win Khine, Founder and CEO of Mahar. The initiative focuses on delivering a seamless digital experience, allowing users to access popular dramas, variety shows, and blockbuster films produced in Yangon and Mandalay directly on their smartphones. By using the official Mahar app, viewers also contribute to the sustainability of the Myanmar film industry and local creators.

Beyond cultural outreach, the collaboration includes a dedicated pricing model to ensure the service is accessible to workers and students. True and dtac customers can access the premium content for a daily fee of 5 THB, with the subscription cost deducted directly from their mobile balance to eliminate the need for credit card transactions. This simplified payment method is designed to fit the specific lifestyle and financial preferences of the Myanmar community in Thailand.

The service emphasizes high-quality visuals and audio to replicate a home-viewing experience. As the primary network provider for this demographic, True 5G intends to use this partnership to strengthen its position in the migrant market by integrating digital lifestyle services with its existing communication infrastructure. The company stated that the move is part of a broader commitment to enhancing the quality of life for international residents through strategic content partnerships.
