Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has confirmed the deployment of comprehensive network infrastructure to support Thailand’s hosting of the 33rd SEA Games, scheduled to take place from December 9–20, 2025. Following the relocation of specific events from Songkhla due to severe flooding, the telecommunications provider has rapidly adjusted its operational strategy to bolster 5G and 4G connectivity across substitute venues in Bangkok and Chonburi. This adjustment ensures that digital communications remain robust for the duration of the international sporting event.

Operating under the initiative labeled “Power UP True Network,” the company has mobilized over 130 network mobility solutions, including Cell-on-Wheels (COW) units and temporary base stations, to competition sites and athlete accommodations nationwide. To specifically support media operations, True Online is installing high-speed fiber broadband and WiFi at all provincial Press Centers. These facilities are designed to handle the bandwidth requirements of domestic and international press agencies, facilitating stable, real-time reporting throughout the Games.

The logistical shift caused by the situation in Songkhla prompted an immediate response from the network engineering team, led by Mr. Khurrum Ashfaque, Chief Network Officer. The team has conducted on-site readiness inspections at mobile switching centers and base stations across the new host locations. The revised network plan focuses on maximizing capacity on the 2600 MHz 5G band at high-density venues, including the Rajamangala National Stadium and Thai-Japan Stadium in Bangkok, as well as outdoor locations hosting water sports and golf in Chonburi, Pattaya, and Rayong.

To maintain stability under heavy data loads, the network will be monitored around the clock via the AI-powered Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC). This system allows for the fine-tuning of signal parameters based on real-time usage patterns. Additionally, signal coverage has been reinforced along key transportation routes to support the movement of athletes and visitors between the widely distributed competition zones.

In parallel with its infrastructure efforts, the company has announced broadcast plans through its TrueVisions NOW platform. The application is set to livestream all events of the SEA Games 2025, providing fans with accessible, mobile-first viewing options for every match scheduled during the competition.
