PM Anutin Directs Border Governors to Prioritize Civilian Safety and Rearguard Security

Brickinfo News Agency – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul convened a crucial video conference today with governors from seven border provinces to monitor the ongoing situation. The meeting’s primary directive focused on ensuring the immediate safety of civilians through efficient evacuation protocols and securing the “rear area” to allow frontline forces to operate without distraction.

The conference took place at 12:00 PM on December 8, 2025, at the PMOC room on the second floor of the Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House. Anutin Charnvirakul issued strict orders to prioritized the safety of local residents, mandating the evacuation of citizens to designated safe zones. He explicitly emphasized that evacuation centers must be managed effectively, ensuring that budget disbursements for public welfare are expedited so that there is absolutely no shortage of food, medicine, or essential supplies for the displaced.

Regarding security strategy, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of protecting the rear areas. He instructed all relevant units to coordinate closely with the Village Security Teams (Chor Ror Bor) and the Volunteer Defense Corps (Or Sor). The objective is to maintain peace and order in the communities behind the conflict lines, ensuring that frontline officers can focus on their duties without worrying about the safety of the areas behind them.

Furthermore, Anutin Charnvirakul addressed medical preparedness in response to the volatile situation. He ordered hospitals in the affected regions to prepare for treating potential combat-related injuries and to ensure an adequate supply of blood. Additionally, he directed the deployment of mobile medical units to provide healthcare services and check on the well-being of civilians currently sheltering in the evacuation centers.
