Five Finger Death Punch to Release ‘Best Of – Volume 2’ After Re-Recording Songs
Brickinfo News Agency – Five Finger Death Punch has announced a new compilation album, “20 Years of Five Finger Death Punch – Best of Volume 2,” set to be released on October 24, 2025. This album follows their previously released “Best Of – Volume 1” and features newly re-recorded versions of 16 of their well-known songs, along with three unreleased live tracks. The band undertook this project after the original master recordings were sold without their consent. The new versions are intended to allow the band to reclaim and redefine their legacy.
The decision to re-record their hit songs, rather than simply remastering them, was a direct response to the unauthorized sale of their original masters by their former record label. By creating new versions, the band aims to pay tribute to the original tracks while also presenting them with renewed intensity for a new generation of listeners. This approach turns a challenging situation into an opportunity to reintroduce their music under their own terms.
The first single from “Best Of – Volume 2” is a new version of the song “The End,” which features a collaboration with BABYMETAL. SU-METAL, the vocalist of BABYMETAL, commented on the collaboration, stating she was happy to be invited to participate. She added that she sang Japanese lyrics inspired by the original song and experimented with her voice to suit the track. She highlighted the part where her voice is engulfed by Ivan Moody’s growl, noting that it gave her chills.
With a career spanning two decades, Five Finger Death Punch has amassed over 13 billion streams and numerous hit singles. The new compilation album will include classics like “Sham Pain,” “Blue On Black,” and “Burn MF,” along with live versions of “Wash It All Away,” “Wrong Side Of Heaven,” and “Jekyll And Hyde.” The album will be available in various formats, including CD, vinyl, and exclusive editions from retailers like Walmart and Best Buy.
