Brickinfo News Agency – Nissan Motor Thailand, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand and the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection, has donated an e-POWER electrified drivetrain system to the Sirindhorn Children and Youth Training Center. This donation, made on July 24, 2025, aims to provide young individuals with practical experience and vocational training in advanced automotive technology, specifically focusing on electrified powertrains.

This initiative is part of Nissan’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, designed to support skill development and improve educational opportunities for youth. By offering hands-on interaction with the Nissan e-POWER system, students at the center will gain exposure to a technology increasingly relevant in the modern automotive industry.

The Nissan e-POWER system operates as an electrified drivetrain that delivers an experience akin to a fully electric vehicle, but without the requirement for external charging. This technology is currently integrated into several Nissan models in Thailand, including the Nissan Kicks e-POWER and Nissan Serena e-POWER, and is expected to be featured in future offerings. The inclusion of this system as an educational tool at the center allows students to directly engage with cutting-edge automotive technology and remain current with industry advancements in electrified powertrains.

Speaking on the donation, Mr. Takaaki Yanagi, Senior Vice President of Nissan Thailand, stated, “Nissan firmly believes that providing educational opportunities for youth is one of the most valuable investments. We hope this collaboration will help equip young people with essential skills and open doors for them to become a vital part of Thailand’s future.”

The company has also conducted technical workshops for instructors, aiding them in understanding modern automotive innovations, including Nissan’s e-POWER technology. This ongoing collaboration, backed by the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, underscores the relationship between Japan and Thailand, emphasizing a mutual dedication to long-term community development and growth through education and innovation.
