Cambodian Ministry of Defense Denies Targeting Civilians in Border Conflict
Brickinfo News Agency – The Cambodian Ministry of Defense has strongly refuted claims made by Thai media that Cambodian forces have been targeting Thai civilians. In a press briefing today, the ministry asserted that all operations were conducted in response to invading forces and were exclusively aimed at military installations.

Ms. Maly Socheata, spokesperson for the Cambodian Ministry of Defense, addressed the accusations, stating, “Cambodia’s position is to exercise our right to protect our sovereignty and territorial integrity, and we have exclusively targeted military locations.” She further emphasized, “We have not attacked any civilian locations.” The spokesperson concluded by stating that Cambodia will remain steadfast in this principle in its response to what it describes as Thai aggression.

This statement from the Cambodian Ministry of Defense contradicts reports from Thailand. Earlier today, a PTT gas station in Ban Phue, Nong Ya Lat sub-district, Kantharalak district, reportedly sustained a BM-21 rocket attack, resulting in six civilian fatalities and ten injuries.
