BNK48’s 3rd Generation Shakes Up the Stage with Zombie Musical, Honors Graduating Member

Brickinfo News Agency – BNK48’s 3rd generation recently took to the stage for a unique and thrilling performance, “Rabbit in Borderland” The Musical, an unprecedented show for the 48 TH group. The members shed their idol personas to embody students fleeing a zombie horde in a performance filled with intense singing, dancing, and acting. The event, held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Ultra Arena Hall, Bravo BKK, also served as the graduation ceremony for member Popper, who concluded her idol career but will continue her role as the group’s Shihanin, or manager.

The “Rabbit in Borderland” The Musical drew significant buzz on social media for its innovative theatrical format, a first for BNK48’s 3rd generation. The 14 members of the group—Popper, Hoop, Earn, Khaofang, Fame, Pancake, Yogurt, Grace, Eve, Meen, Peak, Monet, Yayee, and Earth—portrayed students in a gripping zombie chase. The show featured special guest appearances from 4th generation members Emmy, L, Janry, Marine, and Wawa, who transformed into the zombie horde with impressive acrobatics, including backbends and neck-breaking movements, bringing the performance dangerously close to the audience and keeping fans on the edge of their seats. The night concluded with a large cake to celebrate the 5th anniversary of BNK48’s 3rd generation.

The event also marked the farewell for Popper at her “Last Flight” – Popper’s Graduation Ceremony. The graduation segment began with a setlist of songs that held special meaning and memories for Popper. The atmosphere was warm as her fellow members joined her on stage. A standout moment that had fans screaming was the surprise appearance of Cherprang Areekul, who, dressed in a groom’s suit, “proposed” to Popper on stage, even sharing a cheek kiss. This lighthearted and memorable moment effectively sealed the transition to the next Shihanin. The ceremony concluded with a special performance by members of the group QRRA.
