Thai Tanks Destroy Casino Compound Used as Militant Base on Cambodian Border

Brickinfo News Agency – The Burapha Task Force has launched a decisive military operation utilizing tank fire to neutralize a structural threat situated along the border. The target was identified as a casino compound located on the Cambodian side, which military intelligence confirmed had been repurposed into a fortified position to launch attacks against Thai security forces.

The operation, reported by the Operations Center of the First Army Area, was executed by Task Force 11 on December 9, 2025. The strike specifically targeted facilities located adjacent to the boundary line, sitting directly opposite the Ban Ta Phraya border trade facilitation point in Ta Phraya District, Sa Kaeo Province.

According to the report, the targeted compound was no longer functioning as a civilian entertainment venue but was serving as a tactical stronghold. The site was being used as a firing position for indirect-fire weapons and housed machine-gun emplacements. Furthermore, it served as a strategic weapons storage area intended to support hostilities against Thai units operating in the region, necessitating the military response to neutralize the threat.
