CP Group, Arise Ventures, True Corporation, and Amazon Partner to Advance AI and Cloud Infrastructure in Thailand
Brickinfo News Agency – Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group), Arise Ventures Group, True Corporation, and Amazon, through Amazon Web Services (AWS), have entered a five-year collaboration aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, expanding cloud infrastructure, and training up to three million Thai citizens in digital skills. The strategic initiative was officially announced on August 26, 2026, at the “Thailand AI National Mission” event in Bangkok.
Under the agreement, the organizations will focus on workforce development to address foundational digital skill deficits in Thailand. In collaboration with AWS, CP Group plans to deliver AI learning pathways, professional certifications, and hands-on training to both employees and the broader public. The initiative also introduces AI FOR ALL, a nationwide hackathon open to Thai citizens aged 18 and older, designed to develop generative AI solutions for healthcare, agriculture, and education.

In telecommunications and digital infrastructure, True Corporation will implement cloud and AI capabilities across its IT architecture to enhance network security, optimize automated fault resolution, and deploy predictive maintenance systems. True is also assessing connectivity services via Amazon Leo to extend broadband coverage across remote and underserved regions in Thailand. Meanwhile, CP Group is expanding its AI Center of Excellence by integrating development tools such as Kiro and Amazon Q to streamline software engineering and implement a unified Single ID system across its business units.

In retail and financial services, the collaboration involves deploying machine learning for demand forecasting, inventory management, and automated store compliance across more than 19,000 retail locations, including 7-Eleven, Lotus’s, and Makro. In the financial sector, fintech affiliate Ascend Money will utilize AWS infrastructure to support AI-driven credit scoring, loan origination, electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification, and fraud detection services aimed at expanding banking access for underserved populations.
Suphachai Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group and Chairman of True Corporation, stated that developing a domestic AI ecosystem across infrastructure, data centers, and industrial applications is essential for national competitiveness and long-term economic development. Sigve Brekke, Group CEO of True Corporation, added that the five-year plan focuses on operational transformation across retail, banking, and telecommunications under responsible AI governance frameworks, while Jaime Valles, Vice President and Managing Director of AWS for APJC, confirmed AWS’s technical support across all designated sectors.
