AIS Secures Autonomous Network Operator Leadership Award at FutureNet Asia Awards 2026

Brickinfo News Agency – AIS has received the Autonomous Network Operator Leadership Award at the FutureNet Asia Awards 2026, securing the title for the fourth consecutive year. Organized by FutureNet World, the award evaluates telecommunications operators on network automation progress toward Autonomous Network Levels 4 and 5, as well as enterprise-scale implementations of artificial intelligence.

The operator has integrated artificial intelligence and automated systems across its network infrastructure to analyze customer usage issues, identify root causes, and conduct automated anomaly detection and resolution. In deployment milestones, AIS rolled out its 5G-Advanced infrastructure, incorporating carrier aggregation across 3CC and 2CC configurations, and established 100% coverage of its 5G Uplink 2CC network on the 2600 MHz and 700 MHz spectrum across the Bangkok Metropolitan Region, alongside coverage in capital districts across all 77 provinces in Thailand.

Wasit Wattanasap, Head of Nationwide Operations and Support Business Unit at AIS, stated that network development is shifting beyond baseline connectivity toward intelligent infrastructure. He noted that the company incorporates automation to analyze operational data and adjust configurations based on real-time traffic patterns, supporting enterprise and consumer demand in coordination with technology partner Huawei.
