Brickinfo News Agency – Kingfishr, identified as Ireland’s biggest breaking artist of 2025, has announced their forthcoming debut album, Halcyon, scheduled for release on August 22nd. The announcement follows the preview release of their new single, “Next To Me.” The band has gained traction both in their homeland and internationally, demonstrated by recent sold-out tours in North America and scaling up in the UK and Europe.

The single “Next To Me” is described as a love song blending an Irish foundation with a broader contemporary folk-pop sound. The track features lyrics of devotion, though with an underlying theme of uncertainty. Vocalist Eddie Keogh’s performance on the track incorporates a soulful element alongside his established gritty tone. Keogh addressed the lyrical focus, stating, “It’s a love song, we’ve never really done a love song. It’s very, very hard to do something that’s been done a million times in a legitimate way, but we’ve given it our best. We’re all now in relationships so we have a little bit of experience on the topic.”

Comprised of Eddie Keogh, Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath, and Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon, Kingfishr has accumulated over 130 million streams globally. The band’s live performances range from arena settings to impromptu public singalongs. Prior to the upcoming Halcyon release, Kingfishr has released several tracks, including the multi-Platinum Irish number 1 single “Killeagh,” as well as “Diamonds & Roses,” “Man On The Moon,” and “Gloria.”

The band’s global touring schedule has expanded with the confirmation of a new North American headline tour, following their sold-out debut headline tour in the region earlier this year. Kingfishr will also perform as guests to Dylan Gossett in the United States. In the UK, the band has scheduled two of their largest London shows to date for the autumn. The band is also scheduled for a two-night stand at Dublin’s 3Arena, where they are set to play for a total of 26,000 fans.
