Brickinfo News Agency – SCG Decor Public Company Limited (SCGD) has announced a five-year strategic plan targeting EBITDA of 4.5 billion baht and a two-fold increase in earnings per share by 2031, alongside an interim EBITDA goal of 3.5 billion baht by 2028. The operational blueprint focuses on expanding into new interior product categories, optimizing regional manufacturing footprints across ASEAN, and establishing Vietnam as a primary manufacturing and export hub.

The strategy marks a transition following three years of post-listing operational restructuring, during which the decorative surfaces and sanitaryware manufacturer addressed domestic market slowdowns and currency fluctuations. SCGD is diversifying beyond traditional ceramic tiles and sanitaryware into Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) flooring, smart sanitaryware, doors, windows, and modular cabinetry. According to company financial metrics, sales across these newer interior categories have registered more than 90 percent growth over the previous four-year cycle.

To support high-technology categories such as smart toilets, the firm has established a manufacturing joint venture in Thailand with Chinese producer AXENT. Concurrently, SCGD is expanding distribution networks across Southeast Asia, including entry into Malaysia to capture demand in the region's fifth-largest ceramics market. In the domestic manufacturing sector, the company has initiated a plant consolidation project for ceramic and glazed porcelain tiles scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027, which is projected to generate an additional 380 million baht in annual EBITDA through improved capacity utilization and reduced unit costs.

Under the regional optimization framework, SCGD is positioning Vietnam as an export platform for glazed porcelain to target regional markets such as the Philippines and Indonesia. The operation will leverage its subsidiary PRIME, which maintains an inventory of over 5,000 product variants, to capitalize on local housing sector recovery, public infrastructure investment, and rising domestic demand for high-value-added building materials.

Numpol Malichai, Chief Executive Officer and President of SCGD, stated that sustainable expansion in ASEAN relies on translating localized consumer requirements into scalable commercial output. He noted that integrating Thailand's focus on research, technology, and production efficiency with Vietnam's export manufacturing scale will anchor the company's financial performance through 2031.
