Brickinfo News Agency – A True Corporation employee from the Southern Regional Management team has been awarded the 6th CP Goodness 24hrs award after rescuing an elderly man who collapsed on a roadway in Yala Province. The incident highlights the practical application of first-aid training and quick decision-making in a region where security concerns can sometimes deter bystanders from assisting strangers.

The event took place during a weekday afternoon as Hawa Masae and her colleagues were returning from a field assignment. While navigating a downhill route in the Pase area of Yaha District, an elderly pedestrian suddenly fainted and fell directly in front of her vehicle. Because she was maintaining a safe speed, Masae managed to brake in time to avoid a collision and secure the scene.

Despite the recognized security vulnerabilities in the southern border provinces, she chose to intervene. “At that moment, the car stopped in the middle of the road. I hesitated briefly about whether I should get out and check on him because everyone knows there can be security risks in the area. But after looking around and seeing other vehicles still passing by, I quickly decided to help,” Masae recounted. Drawing on her previous training as a medical assistant and caregiver for the elderly, she immediately evaluated his condition. “When I saw that he wasn’t injured, was still conscious, and had enough strength to support himself, I helped him move to a shaded area to rest and brought him water to drink. I stayed with him until I was certain he was safe, then asked nearby villagers to continue looking after him before driving away,” she explained.

Masae remained at the scene until she confirmed the man was stable. Reflecting on the rescue, she noted the personal significance of her actions. “When the man regained his strength and awareness and was able to thank me, I felt very happy and proud that even a small act of help could make a difference. If this had happened to someone in my own family or to my parents, I would hope someone would help them in the same way,” she said.
