Brickinfo News Agency – AIS PLAY has announced an exclusive partnership with Premier Sports to broadcast world-class rugby content to viewers in Thailand. The collaboration aims to expand the platform’s niche sports offerings, beginning with the final stages of the Six Nations Championship this March. Subscribed users can access the content across multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs, as AIS continues to position its streaming service as a comprehensive hub for international sports and entertainment.

The partnership focuses on delivering high-quality broadcasts of the United Kingdom’s oldest rugby tournament. Rungtip Jarusiripipat, Head of Entertainment Department at AIS, stated that the move is part of a strategy to cater to diverse audience lifestyles. “Partnering with PREMIER SPORTS marks a significant step in expanding our viewership to those who are passionate about niche sports like rugby,” Jarusiripipat noted. She added that the collaboration aligns with the vision of making AIS PLAY a leading platform for sports lovers by curating specialized, high-quality content.

In addition to the Six Nations Championship Rounds 4 and 5, the broadcasting agreement covers a wide range of international tournaments. Fans will have access to the Rugby Championship (SANZAAR), the Rugby Nations Cup, the English Premiership, and the United Rugby Championship. The lineup also extends beyond traditional rugby to include the Australian Football League (AFL) and the National Rugby League (NRL), providing a broad spectrum of oceanian and European field sports.

To access these broadcasts, AIS customers must subscribe to the PLAY SPORTS package, which is priced at 599 THB per month (excluding VAT). The content is hosted on the PREMIER SPORTS channel (Channel 539) via the AIS PLAY application and AIS PLAYBOX. This package also includes broader sports coverage such as the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, ATP Tour, and major football leagues like the English Premier League and French Ligue 1, alongside entertainment options from Prime Video and Monomax.
