Brickinfo News Agency – Thalassa has officially broken her nearly four-year silence, marking her return to the music scene with the upcoming single, “Good Boys.” The track is described as an alt-pop offering that fuses a synth-heavy sound, drawing comparisons to artists like Charli XCX, with the emotional intensity associated with Olivia Rodrigo and the atmospheric feel of Clairo. The release of “Good Boys” signifies the start of a new chapter for the artist, positioning it as a defiant anthem centered on themes of self-worth and modern relationships.

Thematically, “Good Boys” explores the tension between desire and prioritizing self-worth amid the fleeting nature of contemporary connections. The song adopts a playful, upbeat, and bold tone, centered around the rhetorical question, “Where have all the good boys gone?” The track is designed to be an empowerment anthem, celebrating the moment of clarity achieved when an individual chooses self-love and puts their own needs first. Its driving energy and distinct hook are noted as defining elements in Thalassa’s artistic development.

For the single’s creation, Thalassa collaborated with a specific team. She took on the role of songwriter for the track, while Name (Getsunova) served as the executive producer, and NACHO CHAN handled the production. The single’s release will be accompanied by a full music video, which was filmed on location across the Kansai region of Japan, offering a nostalgic and indie-inspired visual component to the song.

Looking ahead, the project is set to expand beyond the initial release. Plans are already in place for a follow-up remix of “Good Boys.” Additionally, the rollout will include two more singles, each of which will be accompanied by a complete music video. This strategy aims to showcase Thalassa’s versatility and is intended to further solidify her expanding presence on the international music stage.

Who is Thalassa ?

Thalassa is a Bangkok-based singer-songwriter whose artistry, multicultural heritage, and compelling storytelling have already marked her as a rising voice in the global indie scene. Born and raised in Thailand with Spanish, French, and Hong Kong roots, she began performing at the age of eight, appearing in operas and musicals such as Les Misérables, The Lion King, Mae Naak, Reya The Musical, and Brundibar, among others. Her early training also led her to sing in choirs alongside Andrea Bocelli and Pope Francis, as well as with the AMAS Choir and Thai Youth Choir.

Throughout her teenage years, Thalassa refined her craft through summer programs at Berklee College of Music and London’s West End Stage. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano, guitar, bass, and flute, and graduated with first-class honors in Music Composition from the Conservatory of Music, Rangsit University. Her diverse influences and formal training come together to shape a sound that is uniquely her own—intimate, genre-blending, and emotionally resonant.

Her debut single Hey Girl (2020), marked a breakthrough in the indie scene, celebrated for its originality and playful edge. The song earned coverage from Nation TV, Cat Radio, Fungjai, La Vague Parallèle, AVYSS Magazine, Third World Magazine, and more.
