Brickinfo News AgencyIn This Moment, the Los Angeles-based metal band, has released a new single titled “Heretic,” featuring artist Kim Dracula. The track is the first new music from the band’s upcoming ninth studio album, which will also be their first with Better Noise Music.

The new song combines what the band calls “haunting modern soundscapes” with “doomsday metal assault” and vocals from frontwoman Maria Brink. The release date for the full album has not yet been announced.

The song “Heretic” includes stark lyrics such as “I am not your pain or your remedy/I am not your faith or your vanity.” The collaboration with Kim Dracula marks a new direction for the Grammy-nominated band, which has maintained a loyal fanbase since its formation in 2005. The current lineup includes co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and drummer Kent Diimmel.

In a combined statement, the members of In This Moment expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are so excited to unveil our new song ‘Heretic,’ featuring the incomparable Kim Dracula. From the first time we heard that incredible voice, we knew we wanted to collaborate. We cannot wait for the world to hear what happens when we join forces on a song like ‘Heretic.’”
