True Deploys COW Mobile Base Station to Boost Connectivity in Flood-Hit Rom Klao Community

Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation, in coordination with the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), has deployed a Cell-On-Wheel (COW) mobile base station to the flood-affected Rom Klao Housing Community in Lat Krabang District, Bangkok, to maintain mobile network coverage for residents and emergency response teams.

The deployment addresses severe flooding across the housing estate, where water levels have exceeded one meter in multiple sections. The deep floodwaters have restricted vehicular access and stranded residents inside their homes, presenting critical challenges for vulnerable groups including bedridden patients, young children, and the elderly. Emergency responders, rescue personnel, and relevant government agencies have mobilized across the area to conduct evacuations, safeguard personal property, and transport food, clean drinking water, and essential medical supplies.

The mobile base station aims to mitigate service disruptions caused by regional water inundation, ensuring uninterrupted cellular communication for both residents and rescue operations. Stable telecommunications infrastructure allows stranded citizens to request emergency assistance, receive disaster updates, and maintain contact with family members, while facilitating operational logistics among disaster mitigation teams.
