Brickinfo News Agency – Thai organizations are rapidly transitioning into AI-native enterprises to navigate economic pressures and intensifying market competition. According to recent data from NTT DATA, the shift is fueled by a projected surge in technology investment, with Gartner forecasting total market spending to reach $30.8 billion by 2026. Within this landscape, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expected to see the most significant growth rate at 47.8%, establishing it as a fundamental driver for long-term business viability in Thailand.

The NTT DATA Global AI Report reveals that Thai organizations have an AI adoption rate of 72%, which is 22% higher than the global average. This momentum is particularly visible in the financial, manufacturing, retail, medical, energy, and logistics sectors. Data suggests that leaders in AI adoption have the potential to grow revenue by more than 10%, outperforming average organizations by 2.5 times. However, the current challenge lies in scaling these technologies from isolated departments to a comprehensive enterprise-wide infrastructure.

Tanapong Ittisakulchai, Managing Director of NTT DATA, Inc., noted that while adoption is high, several bottlenecks remain. Many Thai firms are still grappling with legacy systems, fragmented data structures, and inadequate infrastructure. Furthermore, a significant shortage of skilled digital talent continues to hinder seamless integration.

”The challenge today is no longer about starting to use AI, but about scaling AI to the corporate level to achieve measurable and sustainable business results,” Tanapong stated. “Successful transformation must be built on a strong digital foundation, integrating technology, data, and human potential together.”

To address these hurdles, NTT DATA is promoting an ‘Agent First Strategy’ through its Agentic AI Factory platform. This initiative aims to help businesses transition toward automation that utilizes real-time data for precise decision-making. The company also emphasized the importance of Responsible AI, focusing on cybersecurity, transparency, and data governance to mitigate operational risks in industrial applications.

In addition to technological deployment, the firm plans to invest in human capital through upskilling and reskilling programs. By collaborating with educational institutions, NTT DATA intends to build internal expertise within Thai organizations, ensuring they are prepared for a future where AI is permanently embedded in core business processes across all sectors.
