True, CP Group, and SAT Detail Preparations for 2025 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games in Thailand
Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation, along with CP Group and its affiliates, have confirmed their extensive support and technological readiness for the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) as the nation prepares to host the 2025 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games. The collaboration, centered around the theme “Power Up Nation’s Sportsmanship,” is a significant commitment by the Thai private sector to the nation’s sporting infrastructure. Key contributions include the deployment of an enhanced True 5G network across venues, provision of unlimited internet access for all participating athletes and officials, and free, widespread broadcasting of the events via TrueVisions NOW.
The comprehensive support is structured around three main areas: Power Up True Network, which aims for ultra-fast and stable connectivity; Power Up Athletes, providing True 5G SIMs with unlimited internet to officials and athletes from all 11 competing nations; and Power Up the Press, ensuring high-speed TrueOnline fiber internet and WiFi at Media Centers across the four host provinces. TrueVisions NOW will broadcast the 2025 SEA Games live across 20 channels, free of charge, making the events accessible to fans nationwide on any device.
Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “Hosting this major sporting event is not merely our duty. It is Thailand’s golden opportunity to deliver a message of ‘readiness’ and ‘national pride’ to ASEAN and the international community. We have accelerated efforts to enhance the standards of competition venues, infrastructure, and safety systems to ensure every arena is a place athletes and spectators can fully trust.” He also extended appreciation to Charoen Pokphand Group, adding, “I am confident that Thailand’s role as host will help elevate the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games to new international standards with fair competition and victories we can all be proud of.”
Dr. Teerapon Tanomsakyut, Chief Sustainability & Strategy Officer of Charoen Pokphand Group, confirmed the group’s role as the Group Main Sponsor. He noted, “CP Group and its affiliated companies are deeply proud to take part… This is a remarkable opportunity for all Thais to come together and showcase our country’s capabilities on the ASEAN stage, while warmly welcoming athletes from across the region with friendship and goodwill.” He specified that the group’s commitment includes a total contribution of 100 million baht to the SAT, covering areas such as food services, telecommunications, live broadcasting, and digital financial solutions.
Oliver Kittipong Veerataecha, Chief Brand & Media Officer of True Corporation Plc., highlighted the belief that “Sports are more than competition. They are a powerful force that shapes people, strengthening the mind, spirit, and human connection.” He confirmed that the True 5G network is fully prepared, following the successful One Network integration between True and dtac, which offers improved coverage and reliability. The company has deployed over 130 mobile base stations (COWs) and signal boosters across the four host provinces to guarantee seamless connectivity. True’s involvement, which extends a history of supporting Thai athletes in major international competitions, is presented as a “Signal of Happiness,” aiming to fill every moment of the Games with national pride.
