AIS and Singtel Group Host Workshop to Connect Thai SMEs with Regional Investors
Brickinfo News Agency – AIS has partnered with the Singtel Group to host the “Innov8Sparks Regional Workshop 2025,” a major initiative designed to help Thai SMEs and startups overcome challenges in expanding overseas by connecting them directly with regional markets and investors. This workshop is part of the AIS Infinite SMEs mission, leveraging the combined network of both telecommunications giants, including Singtel’s investment arms—Singtel Innov8 Ventures, Telkomsel Ventures, and Globe-Kickstart Ventures—to serve as a critical bridge for entrepreneurs seeking regional market access.
The event is a direct execution of AIS’s “3 Connections” strategy, specifically focusing on “connecting markets” to propel Thai businesses beyond the domestic stage. Dr. Srihathai Prammanee, AIS Infinite SMEs Manager, highlighted the pressing need for this support.
“According to data from the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) and research in the financial sector, more than 90% of Thai businesses are interested in expanding overseas, yet they face numerous challenges—market access among the most significant,” said Dr. Prammanee. “That is why AIS is propelling AIS Infinite SMEs through our ‘3 Connections’ strategy… For this event, we are doubling down on connecting markets—serving as a bridge for Thai entrepreneurs from the domestic stage to the regional arena. We are leveraging the strength of our global partner network, especially the Singtel Group, which serves over 780 million mobile subscriptions worldwide, as a joint strategy to unlock new market and investment opportunities for Thai SMEs.”
The Innov8Sparks Regional Workshop 2025, held under the theme “Infinite Opportunity Beyond Frontier,” brought together senior executives from the Singtel Group’s network to build a co-growth ecosystem. The workshop was open to various stages of Thai entrepreneurs, including established SMEs already using the AIS network, such as Buzzebee and Ztrus, as well as newer innovators and winners from the JUMPTHAILAND Hackathon 2024 and 2025.
Participants showcased their solutions, joined workshops with regional corporate leaders, and engaged in exchanges aimed at building effective networks and fostering connections. AIS is positioning itself as a Hub of Regional Opportunities, viewing the workshop as a launchpad for sustainable international expansion and a step toward creating borderless opportunities for Thailand’s digital economy.
