Mariah Carey Releases “Sugar Sweet” Featuring Shenseea & Kehlani, Second Single from Upcoming Album

Brickinfo News Agency – Mariah Carey has unveiled “Sugar Sweet,” a new track featuring Shenseea and Kehlani, released on July 25, 2025, via Gamma. The song, co-produced by Carey and HARV, serves as the second single from her upcoming album, Here For It All, which is scheduled for release on September 26, 2025. This release follows the album’s lead single, “Type Dangerous,” which debuted earlier this summer.
“Sugar Sweet” blends Mariah Carey’s songwriting with Shenseea’s dancehall influences and Kehlani’s R&B vocals. The track aims for a “sweet and seductive tone,” suggesting it is intended for “long summer nights.” The new album marks Carey’s first studio release in seven years.
The release of “Sugar Sweet” comes after the announcement of Here For It All, which generated significant attention across social media platforms. Pre-sales for the physical album have reportedly secured top positions on Amazon Music’s bestseller charts.
Carey initiated this new musical era with “Type Dangerous,” which was accompanied by a music video directed by Joseph Kahn, known for his work on Carey’s previous videos such as “#Beautiful” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The “Type Dangerous” video notably included a cameo from Mr. Beast. Earlier in June, Carey performed “Type Dangerous” live for the first time at the BET Awards, joined by Rakim and Anderson .Paak, where she was also honored with the “Ultimate Icon” Award. The single garnered positive reviews, with Billboard describing it as showcasing “Mimi channeling her sultriest, most confident self,” and Rolling Stone calling it a “fiery single.” “Type Dangerous” also achieved success on radio, becoming the #1 most added song on Hot AC, Rhythm, Urban, and R&B radio stations in the U.S.
