Renowned Thai voice actor Supap "Na Ting" Chaiwisutikul has filed a police complaint against individuals using AI to mimic his voice without permission, citing potential defamation and rights infringement.

Brickinfo News AgencyTing Suprap Chaiwisutikul, also known as “Ting Suprap” a highly experienced Thai voice actor, has officially filed a police complaint regarding the unauthorized use of artificial intelligence (AI) to mimic his voice. The complaint addresses instances where his AI-generated voice has been used without permission, potentially causing misunderstanding and damaging his reputation.

This action by Ting follows the appearance of comedic video clips on online platforms. These clips featured voices resembling his, with some even satirizing third parties. This could lead viewers to mistakenly believe these were Nai Ting’s actual statements, potentially harming both his image and the individuals mentioned in the clips.

On June 30, 2025, Ting posted a clarification on his personal Facebook page. He stated that he had never authorized any page or individual to use his voice in such a manner. He indicated that these actions might constitute a violation of personal rights and could involve legal offenses such as defamation by advertisement and infringement of personal data rights. The page responsible for disseminating the clips has since been deactivated, preventing Nai Ting from downloading the videos as immediate evidence.

Ting stated that he is currently gathering evidence to pursue further legal action. He hopes this case will serve as a precedent to raise awareness and prevent similar issues in the future. He also requested the public’s cooperation in providing any leads or relevant video clips to assist in the legal proceedings and urged against sharing or further disseminating the clips to prevent wider damage.
