Brickinfo News Agency – TikTok has launched the third season of its #ThaisAware (#คนไทยรู้ทัน) initiative in collaboration with 13 Thai government bodies and civil society organizations, aiming to deliver digital safety education and curb escalating online fraud nationwide.

Operating under the theme "Stay Alert. Stay Ahead of Digital Threats," the multi-agency alliance includes the newly joined Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) alongside 12 recurring partners such as the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), the Bank of Thailand (BOT), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The collaboration targets major cyber risks spanning artificial intelligence and deepfake fraud, illegal e-commerce items, and complex financial investment schemes.

According to campaign data, the previous iteration of the project accumulated more than 17 billion views, contributing to a measurable decline in reported online fraud cases. For the 2026 campaign, the coalition is implementing a three-pillar framework to deliver educational material directly to an estimated 50 million users in Thailand through localized video content, creator collaborations, and interactive gamification tools.

Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, noted that multi-sector partnerships remain vital for countering persistent threats such as mule accounts, illicit investment operations, and AI-driven impersonation. He emphasized that building public digital literacy provides a sustainable defense mechanism against cybercrime, highlighting that joint operational measures across sectors have helped reduce scam activities significantly.

Mrs. Chanida Klyphun, Director of Public Policy and Government Relations for Southeast Asia at TikTok, explained that the campaign focuses on delivering practical, actionable solutions across three core areas: identifying AI and deepfake manipulation, verifying seller and product safety certifications before purchasing online, and recognizing deceptive financial schemes. The platform is also maintaining automated privacy defaults and screen-time management tools for users under 18.
