Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has mobilized its northern network engineering teams to protect mobile and home internet connectivity following severe flooding across Nan and Phayao provinces, triggered by continuous heavy rainfall and rapid flash floods impacting residential areas and major roadways in Pua district.

To manage the emergency response, the telecom operator activated its Northern Command Center at its Chiang Mai office to serve as the operational coordination hub. Field engineers, emergency equipment, backup power generators, and Cell-on-Wheels (COWs) units from across northern Thailand have been deployed on standby to maintain uninterrupted telecommunication services for local residents, government agencies, and emergency rescue personnel.

In coordination with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), True Corporation issued emergency warnings via the Cell Broadcast System to residents in high-risk zones, including Pua district. The broadcast alerted the public to potential flash floods, river overflows, and landslides, advising immediate property elevation and the evacuation of vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and bedridden patients, to designated safe zones.

The company is prioritizing operations at critical infrastructure cell sites that support hospitals, flood response command centers, and public assistance hubs. Engineering teams are monitoring transmission lines, electrical power reliability, and site accessibility to respond immediately to network interruptions. Repair and reinforcement crews are prepared to deploy temporary cell sites as soon as flooded roads become passable under official safety protocols.
