Thai Metal Band Tragedy of Murder Ignites Crowds at Taiwan Music Festival 2026
Brickinfo News Agency – Thai metal outfit Tragedy of Murder recently represented Thailand’s heavy music scene on the international stage, performing at the Taiwan Music Festival in Kending, Pingtung. Following their successful debut at Taichill City last year, the band returned to Taiwan by popular demand for the 2026 edition of the nation’s largest music festival, which drew over 100,000 attendees over three days.

The band, signed to Vom Records, took the second main stage on April 4, delivering a high-energy 40-minute set. Despite intermittent rain during the performance, thousands of Taiwanese fans engaged in mosh pits and headbanging throughout the duration of the show. The performance gained significant digital traction, with live clips of the set garnering over one million views on Threads.
In a move to connect with the local audience, Tragedy of Murder performed a metal rendition of “Liu Xing Yu” by the legendary Taiwanese boy band F4. The tribute triggered a massive sing-along from the crowd. At the conclusion of their scheduled set, the audience’s demand for an encore led organizers to grant the band “one more song,” a rare occurrence in tightly scheduled festival formats.

The band’s participation was made possible through support from the Pingtung County Government. Pingtung County Magistrate Chou Chun-mi was acknowledged for the budgetary support that allowed the Thai artists to showcase their potential at this national-level event. This collaboration highlights the growing cultural exchange between Thailand and Taiwan through the medium of contemporary music.
Tragedy of Murder recently released their latest single, “Insula,” which is part of the Brain Mechanism project under Vom Records. The band continues to expand its reach across Asia, building on the viral momentum generated by their recent live performances and digital presence.
