Brickinfo News Agency – AIS has collaborated with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Chulalongkorn University to introduce the “Aunjai Cyber: AI Literacy” program. This digital learning initiative aims to equip Thai citizens and students with essential artificial intelligence (AI) skills, focusing on safe, ethical, and creative applications. The course is integrated into the national Thai MOOC platform and the Aunjai CYBER application, providing free access to digital education amid the rapid global shift toward AI-driven technologies.

The curriculum was developed by a multidisciplinary team of experts to cover everything from AI fundamentals to practical everyday use. A significant feature of this partnership is the potential for university students to earn academic credits through the course. By certifying the content under MHESI standards, the program aims to reach over 1.8 million students nationwide, fostering a new generation of digital citizens who can navigate the complexities of modern technology with critical judgment.

Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, emphasized the necessity of adapting to the digital era. “Amid the rapid transformation of digital technology and AI, people must learn how to live with, work with, and use technology with critical judgment. At the same time, educational institutions must step into the role of shaping people who are truly prepared for the modern world,” he stated. He added that the university is committed to “Responsible AI” to ensure that learning is both comprehensive and aligned with practical application for all sectors of society.

From a government perspective, Dr. Punpermsak Aruni, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MHESI, noted that this initiative aligns with the national goal of creating a lifelong learning ecosystem. He highlighted that the collaboration aims to prepare the Thai workforce for future changes by enhancing literacy alongside ethical technology use. This strategic move is intended to sustainably equip the population for an evolving world where AI plays a central role in both professional and personal spheres.

Saichon Submakudom, Chief Corporate Communication of AIS, explained that the company is transitioning from focusing on general digital literacy to specific AI literacy. This effort builds upon the Aunjai CYBER initiative launched in 2019, which has already reached more than 1.0 million learners. “We believe this course will empower Thai people to use AI safely and creatively, enjoy AI as a ‘buddy’ or thinking partner, and confidently and responsibly embrace a sustainable digital future together,” she said, highlighting the goal of strengthening cybersecurity resilience.

The “Aunjai Cyber: AI Literacy” course is now available to the public free of charge. Interested learners can access the materials through the Thai MOOC website, the LearnDi for Thais platform, or the Aunjai CYBER application. This collaboration marks a significant step in the public-private effort to bridge the digital divide and ensure that AI knowledge is an accessible opportunity for the entire nation.
