Thailand’s True Corporation Secures Top 1% Global Sustainability Ranking for Eighth Year
Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has maintained its position among the top 1% of the world’s most sustainable companies in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026. Marking its eighth consecutive year in this elite bracket, the Thai telecom-tech leader achieved a score of 95 out of 100 in the telecommunications industry category. This ranking, derived from the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), highlights the company’s integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its responsible business framework and its ongoing transition toward becoming an AI-First organization.
The assessment evaluated the company across economic, environmental, and social dimensions. True reported a score of 99 out of 100 in the Social dimension, attributed largely to its personal data protection measures and digital safety initiatives. A key component of this is True CyberSafe, an AI-driven system that identifies over 7.5 million suspicious activities daily to protect its user base of more than 50 million people.
Sigve Brekke, Group CEO of True Corporation Plc., emphasized the necessity of digital integrity, stating, “In today’s increasingly digital world, trust is the foundation of sustainable growth. Technology can truly create value only when people feel confident that digital systems are secure, transparent, and responsible for them. While AI is set to transform every industry, including our telecom-tech industry, AI, used in every business aspect at True, must earn trust.”
To support this vision, the company has introduced a Responsible AI (RAI) policy, one of the first of its kind in Thailand and Southeast Asia. This policy establishes ethical standards for AI use among employees and in customer service, ensuring transparency and accountability. Brekke noted that the S&P Global ranking reflects a “commitment to using technology and AI responsibly to create long-term value for our customers, society, and Thailand.”
In the environmental sector, True scored 93 out of 100, supported by its Green Energy Network Intelligence (GENIE) platform. This system utilizes AI and Machine Learning to optimize real-time energy consumption and perform predictive maintenance on the network. The company’s Net Zero 2050 targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Additionally, True has implemented a Green Financing Program to assist its supply chain partners in transitioning to clean energy, noting that 100% of its key suppliers committed to Net Zero targets in 2025.
Beyond infrastructure, the company is collaborating with the education sector through the CONNEXT ED Foundation and True Plookpanya to enhance AI literacy among teachers and students. These initiatives are designed to apply technology toward community development, aligning with the company’s broader goal of delivering digital experiences that improve the quality of life in Thailand.
