Thailand Tourist Safety Boost: Police Partner with True Corp on Communication and Emergency Response
Brickinfo News Agency – The Tourist Police Bureau (TPB) and True Corporation have held a strategic meeting to strengthen tourist safety measures and improve communication strategies for international visitors in Thailand. The partnership aims to leverage technology and media platforms to boost the accessibility of the Tourist Police’s emergency services and information, aligning with Thailand’s goal of maintaining its position as a major global travel destination. The meeting, which included key executives from both organizations, took place at the TPB headquarters at Suvarnabhumi Airport on November 3, 2025.
The collaboration focuses on practical steps to enhance visitor security and convenience. True Corporation, a leading Thai telecom-tech company, will support the TPB by facilitating data coordination among network operators. This is designed to enable a more rapid response to emergency cases involving tourists using True’s network services. The partnership also addresses the need for broader public awareness of the Tourist Police’s existing communication channels.
The telecom-tech firm will utilize its various media platforms to expand the reach of the Tourist Police 1155 Call Center, which operates 24 hours a day and provides assistance in eight languages. A primary focus is also placed on promoting the Thailand Tourist Police mobile application, currently available in five languages. Increasing the visibility of the app is intended to simplify the process for international tourists to access help and necessary information quickly, ensuring a more confident experience from their arrival in Thailand.
The discussion was led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Pheuak-um, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, and Khun Oliver Kittipong Veerataecha, Chief Brand and Media Officer of True Corporation Plc. The collaboration reinforces the country’s commitment to being a welcoming host and providing safety for travelers.

Thailand’s tourism sector has shown significant growth, underscoring the importance of these reinforced safety efforts. In 2024, the country welcomed over 35.55 million international visitors, generating 1.67 trillion baht in revenue. The positive trend continued in the first nine months of 2025, with 24.11 million foreign tourists contributing 1.11 trillion baht, with the total visitor number projected to reach 37–38 million by the end of the year.
