Brickinfo News Agency – The Football Association of Thailand has finalized a financial resolution with Cineplex, an affiliate of True Corporation, to settle a THB 240 million debt resulting from a past dispute involving Siam Sport PCL.

Under the newly agreed framework, the football association will assume full responsibility for clearing the outstanding debt on behalf of Siam Sport PCL to Cineplex. The settlement is structured into two main components, combining exclusive broadcasting rights with cash installment payments to successfully resolve the legal and financial obligations between the parties.

As part of the agreement, Cineplex will secure the exclusive rights to broadcast Thai national football team matches for a four-year period spanning from 2026 to 2029. The broadcast coverage will extend across all OTT, IPTV, and Pay TV platforms operated under the True Group umbrella, alongside associated marketing benefits.

Ongard Prapakamol, Head of True Visions and Media at True Corporation Plc., highlighted the necessity of a constructive solution that allows the football association to operate with long-term stability.

“We believe that the sustainable development of Thai football requires collaboration from all sectors, including the Association, clubs, athletes, fans, and the private sector,” Prapakamol stated.

He added that the broadcasting rights received under this agreement are an opportunity to connect Thai football fans with the national team through digital platforms while inspiring people through sports.
