Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has announced its strategic roadmap as the Official Telecommunications Technology Partner for the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games. Under the core concept of “Power Up Sportsmanship,” the initiative aims to leverage technology to unite Thai citizens and support the national agenda of hosting the games. Oliver Kittipong Veerataecha, Chief Brand & Media Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited, outlined the organization’s mission to ensure network readiness while emphasizing social values that extend beyond the competition field. The strategy aligns with the company’s vision of “Power Up Nation’s Smile,” capitalizing on the integration of True and dtac’s towers and spectrum to deliver broader and more stable 4G and 5G coverage nationwide.

The “Power Up Sportsmanship” framework is designed to utilize the collective capabilities of the True Group to support the games through three primary pillars. First, the Power Up Network initiative involves the deployment of over 130 network sites across competition venues and key areas to ensure optimal connectivity. Second, Power Up Athletes will provide unlimited True5G SIM cards to athletes and officials from all 11 participating countries to facilitate seamless communication. Third, Power Up the Press focuses on empowering media operations by installing high-speed fiber internet and Wi-Fi from True Online in media centers across all host provinces, enabling real-time reporting to audiences across the ASEAN region.

Beyond infrastructure, the company is focusing on accessibility for the general public. With a customer base of over 50 million users between True and dtac, the company is enabling viewers to watch competitions via the TrueVisions NOW application on mobile devices. Oliver Kittipong Veerataecha stated, “We believe sport is more than competition. It is a force that shapes people in their thinking, mindset, and relationships. With this belief, we want sport to live in the hearts of all Thais while highlighting the true value of sportsmanship, not only on the field but also as a principle applicable in everyday life.”

The organization is also prioritizing sustainability and cybersecurity as key components of its operations for the multi-sport event. Operations are being guided by sustainability principles, including effective zero-waste management and carbon footprint considerations. Furthermore, the company is highlighting safety through True CyberSafe, a system designed to monitor cyber threats, block suspicious SMS or links, and alert users to risky phone numbers. Oliver emphasized the shift in priorities, noting, “In the past, competition was about speed. Today, we need to add another ‘S’: Safety. True is the only company investing in developing cybersecurity technology to protect our customers.”

As Thailand prepares to host the games, True Corporation aims to position itself as a provider that offers not just speed, but safety and social value. Oliver concluded by inviting the public to support the Thai national team, stating, “I want people to think of True5G not only as fast, powerful, and responsive, but also as safe, which is the value we hold as a top priority.” He added that the ultimate goal is for the values of sportsmanship—such as respecting rules and accepting outcomes—to be embraced by the younger generation and the wider society.
