True Corporation Deploys Connectivity and Aid to Thai-Cambodian Border Shelters
Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation has mobilized resources to support evacuees along the Thai-Cambodian border, providing both connectivity and humanitarian aid. Amidst the ongoing situation affecting provinces such as Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Buri Ram, Si Sa Ket, Sa Kaeo, Trat, and Chanthaburi, the telecommunications provider is collaborating with government agencies to maintain network stability while offering relief measures, including payment deadline extensions, free WiFi, and access to real-time news via installed television sets in temporary shelters.
Working in coordination with the military, government bodies, and the NBTC, True Corporation is focused on maintaining communication services and accelerating repairs of affected base stations. To ensure network resilience, the company has deployed Cell-on-Wheels (COW) units and installed temporary sites to boost 5G and 4G signals at shelters and surrounding areas. The network is being monitored 24/7 through the BNIC (Brain Network Intelligent Center), utilizing AI analytics to resolve issues swiftly and ensure infrastructure stability for public safety operations.
Beyond strengthening network readiness, the initiative aims to support the emotional well-being of those displaced. Large-screen TVs equipped with TrueVisions NOW have been installed in temporary shelters, allowing evacuees to access reliable news updates and entertainment content to help alleviate stress during this period. Additionally, the company is distributing drinking water and dried food to address immediate physical needs within the camps.
To facilitate essential communication for families, Free WiFi has been activated at 37 locations, alongside the provision of free SIM cards to the shelters. True Corporation has also set up mobile charging points, equipped with power banks and portable backup batteries, ensuring that evacuees can keep their devices powered. Furthermore, affected customers are being provided with 10GB of free data valid for 7 days to assist with information access.
Specific relief measures have been implemented regarding service fees. For postpaid customers of TrueMove H, dtac, True Online, and TrueVisions in the affected areas, payment deadlines have been extended until December 22, 2025. Similarly, prepaid customers have received an additional 7 days of service validity to ensure uninterrupted usage. True Corporation has stated it remains dedicated to standing alongside the affected communities and supporting government operations until the crisis is resolved.
