AI-Powered “PageSeeker” Takes Top Prize at True CyberSafe x TrueMoney Hackathon 2025

Brickinfo News Agency – True Corporation and TrueMoney have officially announced the winners of the “True CyberSafe x TrueMoney Hackathon Thailand 2025,” a competition aimed at developing practical Crime-Tech solutions to combat rising digital threats. From a pool of 89 project submissions, Team Scamtify secured the top position in the general public and startup category with their AI-driven innovation designed to detect fake social media pages. The final pitching event highlighted the collaborative efforts between the private sector and key government bodies, including the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), and the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), to foster a safer digital ecosystem in Thailand.

Dr. Naetchanok Wipatasinlapin, Head of Sustainability Division at True Corporation Plc., emphasized the company’s commitment to elevating safety standards through cross-sector collaboration. She noted that the hackathon showcases the potential of young innovators to protect vulnerable groups in an era of sophisticated cyber threats. “With their ideas, passion, and determination, they have created solutions that enable safer internet use and more secure online transactions for everyone. This platform empowers the new generation to fully express their potential in technology and digital innovation,” Dr. Naetchanok stated, adding that True is ready to support the real-world deployment of these solutions.

Ms. Jittima Jantaramaropas, Head of Digital & Game at TrueMoney Co. Ltd., highlighted the focus on solving real user pain points regarding financial cybercrime. She remarked, “The True CyberSafe x TrueMoney Hackathon Thailand 2025 provides a platform for young innovators to showcase their technological capabilities and creativity in building real, applicable solutions that protect users from financial cybercrime.” She further noted that the competition revealed highly feasible solutions spanning proactive prevention and user experience design, inviting outstanding teams to join the TrueMoney ecosystem.

The winning innovation from Team Scamtify, titled “PageSeeker – ZERO,” is an AI-powered solution that automatically detects fake social media pages. The system is designed to instantly alert True customers if they visit or interact with suspicious pages and provides weekly risk summary reports. This solution specifically targets the protection of elderly users who are frequent victims of online scams. The team, which received a cash prize of 100,000 THB and the Media’s Choice Award, aims to protect approximately 360,000 users within the first year of implementation to reduce financial losses caused by cybercriminals.

Following the winner, the First Runner-up title went to Team Sudo Protect Me for their “FamilyNet Shield,” receiving a prize of 30,000 THB. Their solution integrates internet safety controls directly into home routers, allowing parents to manage access periods, block inappropriate content, and view real-time behavior analytics. The Second Runner-up, Team Phraewa No.1, received 20,000 THB for “SCALL,” a mobile application that analyzes speech patterns to detect call fraud in real time. This system notifies users immediately upon detecting suspicious conversational behaviors, aiming to reduce scam victims by over 2,500 people in its first year.
